Broiled Tomatoes with Garlic and Thyme

Makes 6 servings
- 3 large tomatoes, stemmed and halved crosswise
- ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Leaves from 3 sprigs fresh thyme
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon coarse ground pepper
Position Wolf Gourmet oven rack to highest level. Preheat oven to BROIL HI for 5 minutes. Place tomato halves on the roasting rack inside the baking pan.
In small bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, olive oil, thyme, garlic, salt and pepper. Spoon mixture over tomatoes. Broil tomatoes 8 to 12 minutes or until browned. Spoon drippings over tomatoes before serving.
Tip: Tomatoes can also be roasted. Preheat oven to 450°F in ROAST. Place tomato halves in baking pan. Spoon sauce over tomatoes. Roast for 10 to 12 minutes. Serve with pan drippings.
